  • Approximately two million FAFSA applications are currently pending, while time is running out for students to get their aid offers. 
  • Technical difficulties with the new FAFSA submission program have caused delays in processing applications and distributing financial aid offers. 
  • The IRS has also been sending inaccurate information to schools, further exacerbating the issues.  
  • Students and families are advised to track their FAFSA submissions and communicate with college financial aid departments.
